AIKIDO CLASSES

Training in Aikido is conducted at the Ku-ring-gai Dojo each:

MONDAY

7:00 pm – 8:00 pm    Children’s class (8 – 14 years of age)

7:00 pm – 8:00 pm    Senior Tai-jutsu class

SATURDAY

9:30 am – 11:00 am Senior Tai-jutsu class

SUNDAY

8:00 am – 10:00 am   Weapons practice in open-air dojo

The Club has an active and well-attended programme for children aged from 7 to 14 years of age, that has been running for the past eight years. The Kids class is held every Monday night, during school term at 7:00 pm.

Weapons training

Weapons training

Practice with the bokken (wooden sword) and jo (wooden staff) is a unique and  important part of our Aikido curriculum. This practice reflects the use of weapons as a way of uncovering the deeper meanings of Aikido principles as taught by O'Sensei in the Iwama dojo.
