Children’s Class
The Club has an active and well-attended programme for children aged from 7 to 14 years of age, that has been running for the past eight years. The Kids class is held every Monday night, during school term at 7:00 pm.
Beginners
Any adult, who has not previously practised Aikido wishing to join the Ku-ring-gai Dojo, must first complete the Aikido Beginners Course.
Weapons training
Practice with the bokken (wooden sword) and jo (wooden staff) is a unique and important part of our Aikido curriculum. This practice reflects the use of weapons as a way of uncovering the deeper meanings of Aikido principles as taught by O'Sensei in the Iwama dojo.
